Acupuncture & Traditional Chinese Medicine

TCM is an ancient and sophisticated system of medicine which has stood the test of time and has not been found wanting.

Safe and Effective

In the hands of a qualified practitioner, TCM and acupuncture is effective and safe, without any negative side effects.

Positive Health Oriented

TCM does not only treat illness which has already occurred. Over and above that, it aims to optimise health and prevent future ill-health.

What Can Be Treated

TCM treats people who complain of a breakdown in health. It can treat physical, psychological and even spiritual symptoms to equal effect.

Who Can Have Treatment

There is no restriction to who can be treated: the very old and the very young can be equally assisted. Pregnant women and milk babies can be treated.

Natural, Holistic, Curative and Preventative

“Acupuncture is one of the most popular and effective contemporary healing techniques, practised in almost every country on the globe. Acupuncture is part of a comprehensive medical system that has survived over the millennia. Not only is it safe, in the hands of fully trained practitioners, but its clinical applicability is enormous.”

FAQ

Have some Questions?

In the hands of a professionally trained and insured practitioner, Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine is safe and entirely free of negative side-effects.

Acupuncture needles are pre-sterilised, single use needles. They are safe and painless to use, and safely discarded after the treatment.

The roots, plants and flowers used in by your practitioner are all bought from an Approved Herbal Suppliers ensuring that:

  • Only Traditional Chinese herbal plant products from clean sources are used.
  • No Western medicines are used.
  • No animal products, mineral products nor endangered plant species are used.

In prescribing herbal medicines your practitioner complies with the Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA).

Your first visit is for a diagnostic consultation and if you have made an appointment for acupuncture, your first treatment will be included.

Your practitioner will find out medically relevant information about your condition and examine your tongue and you pulse. A brief physical examination will be conducted where necessary.

If you are seeking treatment to a physical injury or ailment, please wear something that will allow the problem area to be examined easily. If you take any medication including vitamins and supplements, bring a list of these to your first appointment.

There is no limitation in terms of age, sex or condition regarding acupuncture treatment.

  • The very young or extremely old can be treated.
  • All types of conditions can be treated – chronic or acute, severe or mild, mental or physical.
  • Pregnant women are prime candidates for TCM and much can be done to promote both ante-natal and post-natal care of mother and baby.
  • Acupuncture TCM can also be very helpful for those having trouble conceiving or having the family they would wish.

Things happen and sometimes we need to cancel appointments. Please contact the Titta by phone at 0752 320 3262 as soon as you know that you won’t make your appointment. Please note that all appointments cancelled with less than 24hrs notice must be paid in full.
